Theodore’s practice includes corporate, finance and insolvency law.
He has over a decade of experience advising high profile domestic and international companies on specialized issues of Greek corporate law.
Theodore has also extensive experience in advising issuers and investors on the full range of debt, equity and equity-linked products while he is particularly noted for his leading expertise in convertible bonds. His expertise also encompasses true sale securitizations of various asset classes while a significant part of his practice involves advising bidders and purchasers on the transfer of non-performing loan (NPL) portfolios, as well as on the operation of servicing companies.
Another area of Theodore’s expertise is insolvency and reorganization law. He particularly offers counsel in the transactional and litigation aspects of bankruptcy cases (especially avoidance actions) and guides companies and entrepreneurs through insolvency proceedings, using the framework of such proceedings where possible to rehabilitate their businesses.
Theodore was a member of the law-making Committee (established by the Greek Ministry of Justice) that reformed the Greek Bankruptcy Code (by virtue of L. 4446/2016 and L. 4472/2017) and drafted the P.D. 133/2016 for the “Regulation of the profession of Insolvency Practitioner”.
He also contributes on a regular basis by way of articles and comments to Greek legal journals and leading commentaries with particular focus to corporate and insolvency law.
