Briefing Note On The New Legislative Framework For Public Procurement And Concessions

By L. 4412/2016 and L. 4413/2016 which recently entered into force, the new framework of EU Directives adopted for the purpose of radical reform of public procurement legislation among EU Member States has been transposed in Greek legislation. In particular, the aforementioned L. 4412/2016 and L. 4413/2016 constitute the adaptation of the Greek Law to the European provisions.

(a) Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and the Council of the 26th February 2014, as regards procedures for the award of public contracts and the repeal of the Directive 2004/18/EC;

(b) Directive 2014/25/EU of the European Parliament and the Council of the 26th February 2014 on the supply of entities operating in the water, energy, transport and postal services and the repeal of the Directive 2004/17/EC and

(c) Directive 2014/23/EU of the European Parliament the Council of the 26th February 2014 on the award of concession contracts.
