Claims Management Companies and GDPR: challenges and concerns

Within the framework of the implementation of the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679 – GDPR), the Debt Management Companies for Loans and Credit (DMCLC) (Law 4354/2015) are generally companies processing the management of claims. To the extent they process personal data, this process is performed on behalf of another person, namely the bank or the DMCLC, within the extremely narrow framework of the assignment of claim agreement with the bank or the DMCLC.
