Professor Fortsakis is a founding partner of the firm

His practice focuses on administrative and tax law and is recognized and respected as one of the most eminent practitioners in the fields of public law and taxation.

Prof. Fortsakis has represented numerous domestic and foreign entities and private clients over the last thirty years before the administrative courts and the Council of State.

He also has vast experience in advising and providing legal opinions on all tax objects and international business transactions.

Prof. Fortsakis has been a member of the Greek Parliament (2015-2019). Previously he was the Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (since Sept. 2014). He has also been Dean of the School of Law (2009-2014) and Director of the Department of Public Law (2009-2014).

Prof. Fortsakis is or has been:

  • He served for five years as an international expert at the Council of Europe, in Strasbourg, with many missions in eastern Europe and central Asia (1998-2003).
  • He was awarded the French Decorations of «Officier de la Légion d’honneur» (2015) «Chevalier» (2006) and «Officier de Palmes Académiques» (2012) and «Guardian of the Law» of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa (2009).
